Seventh, understand what types of nutrients are essential for the types of roses you are growing. The pH level of the soil is critical when growing roses, thus you should test the soil pH regularly. With the proper soil pH the roses can better absorb the nutrients that you introduce to the soil, thus achieving fuller and healthier rose bushes.

For ideal rose growing, the pH should between 6 and 6.5. Also make sure to test you soil to see what nutrients are required.

Eighth, prune your rose bushes so that they remain healthy and looking beautiful all growing season long.

Lastly, make sure to apply pesticides properly to your rose bushes to ensure they are free of insects and pests that can damage and destroy them.
