How to Stop Grubs from Damaging Your Lawn Instantly

White Grubs can Destroy a Yard in Just a Couple of Weeks if You Let Them

By Mark J. Donovan

At the first sign of white grub damage to your lawn it’s important to kill the grubs immediately. Grubs are the larvae of Chafer and Japanese Beetles and they feed on your lawn’s root system. In a very short period of time they can destroy your lawn. You can stop grubs from damaging your lawn instantly with various products. Grub killer products with Dylox can kill Chafer and Japanese Beetles overnight.

If you see large brownish or whitish spots forming on your lawn, or observe crows pecking and ripping up your lawn, chances are your lawn has a white grub problem.

To confirm that your lawn is infested with white grubs use a shovel to turn over a few test patches of lawn. Look carefully in the overturned soil.

If you see even a couple grubs in a spade shovel of soil you have a serious grub problem that needs to be addressed immediately.

To stop grubs from damaging your lawn further, apply a grub killer product with Dylox on your lawn just before it is to rain. If rain is not in the forecast, then water the grub killer product into the soil so that the grub killer penetrates into the lawn’s root system. Within 24 hours the grubs should begin to die as they come in contact with the grub killer and Dylox. After 24 hours have passed, water the lawn once again to enable further penetration into the lawn root system.

Also, don’t mow the lawn until the grub killer product has had time to fully absorb into the soil.

The best time to apply a grub killer is between July and September when the grubs are young and the most active. However, if you see damage at other times of the lawn growing season than by all means stop the lawn damage immediately by applying grub killer. If the infestation is strong, then a second application may be necessary.

Apply a grub killer product with Dylox to eliminate white grubs immediately.
