All you need to do is mount the mounting plate to the wall and then attach the towel ring to the mounting plate. When installing the mounting plate it is always preferable to attach the mounting plate over wall studs to ensure a securely fastened towel ring. If you can not mount the towel ring over a wall stud then make sure you at least use plastic wall hangers.
