thing you want is to have the bathroom wall cabinet pull away from or fall off
the wall, particularly if you have valuable glass or ceramic knick-knacks
sitting on it.

Using 2-1/2 inch screws, and making
sure they are penetrating into wall studs, will prevent this situation from
happening.
