Pressure tanks provide three main functions. First they provide a constant
water pressure to your home's water supply. Second, they help to extend the
life of the submersible well pump, and third they act as a water reservoir
for your home.
Determining if your private well systems pressure tank has failed is as easy
as a couple of taps on the top and bottom of the tank. If there is a deep
thud sound both top and bottom, then a new pressure tank is in need.
