Dear HomeAdditionPlus.com Website Visitor, Well the worst of winter is behind us and the days are getting a little longer. Even more importantly the holidays are in now in the distant past. Consequently it is time to start looking forward and figuring out what's next on your list of spring and summertime home improvement projects. For some of you, your list may be limited to small repair projects around the house. For others, your list may include building a new addition or even buying a new home.
In this months issue, I have focused on both topics.

First, I have a new article on finding an unfinished home to purchase. Buying an unfinished home is a great way to get into your first home at a more affordable price, and with falling home prices and interest rates it couldn't be a better time to buy a home.
Second, for many people contemplating building a home addition a questions frequently arises, for those with one story homes, on whether it makes more sense to build up or out. My article compares the pros and cons of building a second floor addition or an attached room addition. Both have their advantages, so you will want to take a look at this article if you own a single story home and are considering putting on a home addition.
For those of you who have less ambitions home improvement plans I have a couple of interesting articles on tips for applying caulk in the bathroom to using self leveling compounds for ceramic floor tile preparation.
In addition I have added a couple of new videos. One goes over the process of installing stair tread pads and the other reviews a new Low Voltage Fan based Register Vent for better managing the temperature in a hard to heat or cool room.
Finally, though winter is getting long in the tooth it is still pretty cold in much of the northern hemisphere. Consequently I have provide some tips on saving money on home heating bills and how to improve the air quality in your home.
