The show will focus on Mark’s experience as acting as the
general contractor for building their vacation home on Lake Winnipesaukee in
Moultonborough, New Hampshire. Mark discusses his
reasons for wanting to be his own contractor and describes some of the
highlights and obstacles he faced in building a home one and a half hours away
from his primary residence. He will also share some of his experiences in hiring
subcontractors for the excavation, foundation, framing, roofing, plumbing and
electric work as well as discuss some of the work he performed himself.
Finally, Mark will provide advice and insight about acting as your own general
contractor on a vacation home.
The show will also include
video of the local surrounding Lake Winnipesaukee area including the towns of
Moultonborough and Meredith, New Hampshire.
