Simple Caulking Method
A Fast and Simple Method for Making Clean
Caulk Lines

Caulking around a bathroom tub, sink
or countertop can be a messy and slow process. Not only that, it is difficult to
get clean caulk lines.
Normally I find myself using a roll
of wet paper towels and a putty knife or screwdriver to dress up the lines. By the
end, I have caulk all over my hands and a less than perfect caulk line.
However, there is a really simple
method for getting a clean caulk line every time.

The method involves caulk, masking
tape and a putty knife.
To begin with, apply a length of
masking tape on each side of the gap you want to caulk. You can establish how
wide of a caulk line you want to create by how wide of a gap you leave between
the lengths of masking tape.
Once you have applied the masking tape on either side of the gap you want to
caulk, take you caulk gun and run a bead of caulk the length of the gap.

Once you have completed applying the caulk to the gap, use
your putty knife to smooth the caulk line.
After smoothing out the caulk line, simply remove the masking tape, and your
done. Its that quick, and you will have clean caulk lines every time.
